Sensei Richard in Okinawa 2023

In August 2023, Sensei Richard embarked on an unforgettable journey to Okinawa to attend the prestigious TOGKF 9th World Budo sai. Held at the Okinawan Budo kan, this gathering brought together martial artists from across the globe to train, exchange knowledge, and celebrate the rich traditions of Goju-Ryu Karate.

During his time at the Budo sai, Sensei Richard had the privilege of learning new techniques under the guidance of esteemed masters, refining his understanding of kata, kumite, and traditional training methods. Beyond the dojo, he connected with practitioners from various countries, engaging in meaningful discussions about differences in training styles, dojo philosophies, and the evolution of martial arts in different cultures.
